We at John H. Kooy Trucking, Inc. have been in business since 1971; through the years, we have seen many changes in the trucking business. We operate 25 tractors and 30 trailers, servicing the states of Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada and Arizona. Our trucks average 135,000 annually carrying produce and general commodities in refrigerated trailers.

To maintain our reputation we use quality products that deliver value and reliability, from our Peterbilt Tractors, Michelin Tires/MRTI retreads and Phelps Tire.

The trucking market is always a highly competitive business, with the constant changes in regulations, the needs of our customers and the technology innovations; we need a company to help guide us through these changes. After fuel, tires are our second highest expense when operating a fleet of trucks. Additionally the rising cost of fuel dictates that we use components that help us to achieve better fuel economy and a lower cost per mile.

Phelps Tire and Michelin work closely with us, providing fuel-efficient tires and retreads to lower our consumption and thereby helping us to reduce our largest expense, fuel.
