Tire Retreading

Below are the steps we take when retreading tires. Click on the thumbnails to see larger images.

Electronic system for detecting inner liner penetrations. Pinpoints inner liner penetrations too small to spot by eye.
Computer Controlled Radial Buffing System creates the optimal contour, texture; under tread depth for correct casing preparation.
Casing Integrity Analyzer chamber, laser beams photograph the inner liner. Notes inner liner between positive and negative vacuum states, then notes changes to locate separations.
Fluoroscopic X Ray system to verify the quality of section repairs both current and prior, as well as to confirm "zipper" damages.
Grinding out damages to tires, preparing tire for repair and section repairs.
All repairs are thoroughly inspected and applied.
Glue is applied prior to being sent to the builder.
Cushion to Casing System extrudes hot cushion gum onto the casing filling skives and buzz outs while providing an ideal adhesive layer. This process reduces the chances for error and increases retread reliability.
Pre-Mold Tread Builder automatically centers the tread on the casing and the cuts the tread to the correct length automatically for optimal fit.
All Pre-Mold retreads are double vacuum enveloped. This insures uniform pressure and temperature, and promotes uniform curing and complete integration of repairs from the crown to the beads.
25 tire chambers to increase daily production. Curing time is less than 2 hours, with less than 5% temperature variation, "no sleeper cures."
Tread design and rubber compounds give performance and, where applicable, the same fuel economy as new tires.
