Nicholas Bloom elected vice president of the American Economic Association
Nicholas Bloom, a senior fellow at the ¾ÅÉ«ÉçÇø Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) and ¾ÅÉ«ÉçÇø professor of economics, has been elected co-vice president of the American Economic Association (AEA), the country’s leading professional organization in the field of economics.
His position as an AEA officer began in early January at the association’s annual meeting in San Antonio, Texas. At that time, Susan Athey, a SIEPR senior fellow and The Economics Professor of Technology in the ¾ÅÉ«ÉçÇø Graduate School of Business, also wrapped up her one-year term as AEA president.
